Program Overview

Our Sunday Morning Robotics Classes introduce students to robotics, coding and engineering through structured, hands-on activities.

Students work in age-appropriate and ability-based groups, allowing beginners to develop strong foundations while more experienced students progress through increasingly challenging projects.

Program Pathways

Prep–Year 2: Junior Builders and Coders

Younger students develop foundational STEM skills through play-based construction, simple machines, introductory coding and creative problem-solving activities.

Years 3–7: VEX and LEGO Robotics

Students design, build and code VEX robots while learning about:

• Robot construction and mechanical design
• Gears, movement and structural stability
• Visual and text-based coding
• Sensors and automation
• The engineering design process
• Teamwork, problem-solving and critical thinking
• Robotics challenges and competition strategy

Session Details

• Weekly 90-minute sessions for eight weeks
• All robotics equipment and technology provided
• Suitable for beginners and experienced students
• Students grouped according to age, experience and ability
• Structured activities that build skills and complexity over time
• Led by experienced, award-winning STEM and robotics educators
• Delivered by educators with a proven history of coaching teams to national and international success

Looking for a Greater Challenge?

Students in Years 3–9 with previous robotics experience may be suited to our Intermediate and Advanced Robotics Program.

This extended 2.5-hour session runs on Sunday mornings from 9:30am–12:00pm and provides additional time for advanced robotics, coding, engineering and competition preparation.
